hills of Perthshire. It is one of the first purpose built
resort hotels offering leisure and luxury. It is world-famous
for its magnificent championship golf courses, however it
also offers world-class attention to detail for families with
children.
Where better to start or improve your golfing career than
Gleneagles. Junior golf lessons are available at The Golf
Academy. The spa and leisure facilities provide wonderful
swimming in indoor and outdoor heated pools. Children between
2 and 10 are invited to come along and enjoy some fun and
games in the children's playroom. Parents can borrow colouring
pencils, books and videos to help keep their children amused
during their stay.

turrets and open fires. It is set in 10 acres of award-winning
gardens on the outskirts of St Andrews. St.Andrews is world-renowned

they can get up close to the fish and animals, particularly
in the touch pools.

Traquair House dates from the 12th century, and looks and feels like a castle! It certainly has been used by kings and queens through the centuries. The owners (the descendants of the Maxwell Stuarts) of Traquair particularly welcome children and families, and the grounds of the house have adventure playground, tricky maze, animals and workshops. For the adults it even brews its own beer.
Its a beautiful location in the Borders, but only 35 miles from Edinburgh.

hotels in Scotland. It has a spectacular location on a small
peninsula on the banks of Loch Leven at the foot of Glencoe.
The family rooms are thoughtfully designed with seperate alcoves
for the children, with their own entertainment provided.
The hotel has an indoor pool, with outdoor adventure playground,
and an indoor games room. It offers a seperate early dinner
for children. In the summer months there are also organised
events and activities with the in-house ranger.
