Vacation Booking Conditions
Vascity Ltd trading as familyholidays.biz strives
to make sure you have a great holiday, and we do our best to make
sure that eveverything works smoothly for you. With these Conditions
we want to make sure that our clients, understand the committments
that we make to each other.
Booking Process
We accept reservations for the vacation packages by
mail, phone, email or by completion of the web-form. To be able
to make reservations with our many activity and vacation suppliers,
we will need to collect varied information about you and your party,
and we are happy to make this process as easy as possible for you.
To confirm all reservations we will need an emailed or written approval
from you.
We will send a confirmation receipt, which details
vacation package arrangements. It is this confirmation, which will
be the basis of the agreement between client and familyholidays.biz,
and not the contents of this website. Payment by the client consititutes
agreement with these booking conditions.
Please note familyholidays.biz is the agent for
the arrangements, and is not the supplier of the services, which
are all provided by vacation service suppliers of accommodation,
childcare, transportation and vacation activities. familyholidays.biz will purchase services from these suppliers, but does not
control the suppliers.
Payment
Full payment for the vacation is required no later
than 8 weeks prior to the start of the vacation.
A deposit of 40% of the vacation total is required
to be paid to confirm the reservation.
We accept payment by cash, check (cheque), bank transfer,
and Paypal.
Some accommodation providers may require a security
deposit on arrival, but clients will be notified of this prior to
departure.
Cancellations
Costs to familyholidays.biz start from the time you
confirm your reservation. If you decide to cancel your vacation,
then we will need confirmation in writing or by email. The charges
for cancellation are:
More than 8 weeks before vacation start date: 40%
8 weeks to 3 weeks before vacation start date: 50%
3 weeks to 1 week before vacation start date: 75%
1 week before vacation start date: 100%
We will endeavour to refund as much as we can, if
we manage to secure an alternative booking, however you should ensure
that your vacation travel insurance provides cancellation protection.
Insurance
Insurance is not included in the price of the vacation.
It is a condition of booking that clients and their
groups must all have insurance that provides per person:
Cancellation / Curtailment - up to £5,000.
Medical Expenses - up to £5,000,000
Personal Accident - up to £25,000
Personal Liability - up to £1,000,000
Legal Expenses - up to £5,000
familyholidays.biz can arrange insurance for clients
if preferred.
Data Security
Information supplied by you will not be divulged
to other parties without your permission except in circumstances
where it is necessary to confirm a reservation on your behalf. familyholidays.biz
will only sue the information for contacting you for marketing and
vacation development purposes.
Suppliers of Vacation Services
Reservations for vacation activities, Childcare, transport
provision, and accommodation are obtained
by familyholidays.biz on behalf of the Client, and are subject to
the conditions of the individual supplier. familyholidays.biz strives
to select suppliers which have a good reputation. familyholidays.biz
will not accept or have any liability for the acts of omissions
whether negligent or otherwise, of a supplier or any other person
providing services in connection with the arrangements of the group/individual(s)
unless such a person is employed by familyholidays.biz or subject
to familyholidays.biz's direct control.
Jurisdiction
These conditions shall be construed and interpreted
in accordance with the Law of Scotland and the Parties each submit
to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Scottish Courts.
Force Majeure
familyholidays.biz does not accept any liability for
any loss, inconvenience or damage caused by war, threat of war riot
or civil strife, terrorist activity, industrial disputes, natural
disaster, fires, sickness, weather conditions, airport regulations,
temporary, technical, mechanical or electrical breakdown of transport
or any facilities contained within advertised accommodation, explosion
of any nuclear plant or part thereof or radio activity/contaminationfrom
such plant or events beyond the reasonable control of familyholidays.biz.
Alterations and Amendments by Client or familyholidays.biz
In the unlikely event that familyholidays.biz needs
to make an amendment to your reservation (other than for Force Majeure),
then you will be informed as soon as is reasonably possible. If
the change involves change of accommodation, then you will have
the choice of accepting the change, cancelling your vacation with
a full refund. If the change occurs less than 4 weeks before the
vacation, then we will offer £20 compensation per person.
If you wish to make an amendment to a confirmed reservation,
we will try our best to arrange it for you. An alteration charge
of £25 will be made to cover administration costs.
Special Needs of Clients
We welcome clients with special needs, and can arrange
vacations appropriately if guided by you. We will need notification
of your requirements at time of reservation, so that we can confirm
the suitability of the Vacation package.
Complaints
In the unlikely event that a client wishes to make
a complaint about familyholidays.biz, such complaint should be raised
in the first instance with vacation service provider, who will endeavour
to resolve the situation to the client's satisfaction. If any complaint
cannot be resolved by the vacation service provider, Clients must
address their complaints by email to concierge@familyholidays.biz
within one month from the last day of the vacation provided by familyholidays.biz.
Description of Services and Prices
familyholidays.biz is responsible for making sure
that you receive the services as described in the Vacation Package,
or Custom Itinerary document, and that they are of a reasonable
standard. If any part of your vacation is not satisfactory, then
we will offer appropriate compensation.
All prices shown in Vacation Packages are for 2 Adults
and 2 children (under 14 years old). Pricing for alternatively sized
groups will be provided in your reservation invoice. No meals or
food are included in any Vacation Package, unless specifically mentioned.
Passports
A valid passport is needed for visitors to the UK
and Ireland, who are not citizens of these countries.
Photography
Clients agree to allow the use of any photos taken
of them or their family, for the promotional activities by familyholidays.biz
or their Suppliers. familyholidays.biz are happy to exclude use
of such photos if expressly notified by the client.
